Circling Evangelist hits the streets in Guatemala: successes and humblings

Background for this post

In late January I traveled to Guatemala on a 3-month adventure that is ongoing. The location is a village called San Marcos La Laguna, Lake Atitlan, 4-5 hours west of Guatemala City. I went because I had enough of Covid restrictions and wanted to practice building community on-the-ground. It was also time for a new adventure. I left behind my Little House on the Prairie in which I was physically very content, but yearning for more connection. 

As a bit of context here, San Marcos is one of the half-dozen most popular  “consciousness hot-spots” on the planet, in the sense of being havens for people looking for fun and transformation: professional travelers, hippies, new-agers, consciousness entrepreneurs, crypto geeks and libertarians, etc. (the other places include Bali, Koh Phangan in Thailand, Pisac Peru, and Mazunte Mexico where I will be heading in the final month for a …

  • Jason Digges and Gabe DeRita are offering a 10-week business accelerator for AR leaders called Empowered Offerings. This is for you if you are an emerging AR leader looking to have an impact and increase your income. And the price is right ($850 through Feb. 11).
  • Authentic Revolution is launching the next iteration of The Authentic Facilitator on March 21, 2022. This is (I believe) the 4th or 5th iteration of this course and it keeps on getting better. In addition to Jason and Gabe’s course (above), this is THE training to take if you want to get traction in an AR-related career. Their flagship Authentic Life course (3 levels) continues, of course, and they have now added a 4th level called Mastermind.

Mastermind Circles are free in December

Because we are starting late in the formation of new circles, I am offering them for free in December. The ideal commitment is for 3 months, but it’s fine if you just want to come for one cycle (practically speaking, that would be 2-3 circles as we’ll start in the 3rd week of December)

Why am I doing this?

Well, mostly for networking purposes, fun, and transformation. I enjoy hanging out with people who are passionate about AR practices, see the potential for personal and social transformation, and want to bring AR into the world. I am especially interested in bringing AR into intentional community (especially land-based community), mental health, and sexuality, and joining with people who are also thus inspired; but I believe there is no area of life that can’t benefit from this.   • Authentic Revolution is starting another Authentic Life Course on December 11. They also have a new professional training program, Authentic Facilitator, that is very impressive, and starting very soon (Nov. 30 and January 10). Sara Ness and Geof Krum traveled all over interviewing and filming skilled facilitators. The content goes way beyond simple AR, and they have also put together a heavy-hitter team which includes Megan Taylor Morrison and Jason Digges . There is a good chance I will take this course myself once I am done with the Level Up.
  • Peter Will Benjamin and The Connection Institute is presenting a free workshop, How Honest Are We Really Being on Thursday Dec 2 at 2pm EST.
