- Authentic Revolution shutdown at the end of October..There was a lovely (and well-attended) virtual good-bye party, and Sara made a fascinating presentation including the history which you can find here (you open up chapters by clicking on them). A new version (v8) of the Authentic Relating Games manual is still available by donation here and now on print too. Thank you, Sara and company, for leaving us with these riches.
Unfortunately the online Connect Platform shut-down, but there are still plenty of places for online Circling, including CircleAnywhere, Authentic Relating Go, The Connection Institute, Circling Institute, Evolutionary Relating, the [new!] Together Connect, and more. Let me know your favorite (and I will include it next time), and also the AuthRev communities map is still being maintained (apparently) and shows all the local communities.
- Evolutionary Relating in Australia has a new mini-course on vulnerability., along with higher-level programs. They might work well for you in Australia / East Asia & European time zones.
- ART International continues their breath-taking range of courses, in-person and virtual, introductory or advanced. I believe there is a graduate portal too, but I can’t find immediately find it.
- Circling Europe has a new podcast series Transformational Conversations. You can listen to Episode 1 and Episode 2 (with Daniel Thorson from the Emerge podcast, also recommended). I am looking forward to listening to this, as Sean and John have put as much work and heart into this field as almost anyone else.
- CircleAnywhere’s newsletter is now called 3 Thngs Thursday and always has a juicy morsel. Authentic Relating apps any one?
We had a small but sweet meeting yesterday on the Authentic Relating Event Facilitators monthly Mastermind (the next one scheduled for Wednesday Jan 4, 1pm Eastern) in which I learned about a new Authentic Relating web-app called The Chili Game by Riccardo Volpato. It’s like a question-prompt with a “spiciness” choice. Riccardo recommends varying the question “spiciness” and seeing what happens! Guess what I will be doing on my next date?

[New Book] Relational Power, Part 1 is published!
My new book, Relational Power: Win Friends, Influence Others, and End Loneliness Through the Practice of Authentic Relating, Part 1, is published in all formats (web, kindle and paperback).
This is a very-very important project to me, because although there are now a few good books about Circling and A/R (they are listed here, and check out Ryel Kestano’s new book too — you go, bro’), I am wanting more. Specifically, I am wanting books targeted to people OUTSIDE the A/R movement, and books which speak to the power of A/R for personal and social transformation, what I call “Authentic Relating on the street” which is A/R without shared context.
I am asking for help here, both in the writing and the marketing of the book. I want to crowd-source it, especially Parts 2 and 3 which are not yet written, and will probably take another 6-9 months, as I don’t feel qualified to write these sections yet (they relate to A/R as an integral practice and I also need many more case-studies and examples of personal transformations through the A/R practice).
