1. Circling Guide Anthology (3rd Edition) Crowd-Funding News
Thanks to generous donations from the y’all, I am very pleased to report that the Circling Guide Anthology (3rd Edition) crowd-funder has raised $1800 of its $3000 target. Getting it finished is going to be quite a bit of work. We are now in the final stretch, and I am counting on your support!
My hope is that this book, combining revised content from the original Circling Guide, plus articles and essays by leading figures in the movement, will help to elevate Authentic Relating from a cult-practice into a global movement.
Best of all, I have already received several contributions (by Susan Campbell and Michael Porcelli, in particular) which are simply outstanding. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did!
Committed contributors so far include:
- Sara Ness (Authentic Relating Games)
- Robert MacNaughton (AR in Business)
- Jason Digges (Integral Circling)
- Susan Campbell (Origins of AR)
- Damien Bohler (embodied sexuality)
- Kaela Atleework (Co-Living)
- Mihai Banulescu (Connection Games)
- Ryel Kestano (Authentic Dating),
- Stephane Segatori (We-Flow)
- Karl Steyaert (NVC)
- Ellen Waenink (Deep Listening)
- Michael Porcelli (Meta-Relating)
- Miki Kashtan (From Social Justice to Liberation For All)
Quite a few other potential contributors have been contacted and I hope to hear soon; but the above list testifies to the depth, breadth and power of this movement that we are a part of. Yay team! Please help to make this happen by donating generously.

2. Authentic Relating Games Mini-Manual in French
A group of French speakers from Europe and Canada have translated the Authentic Relating Games mini-manual into French! It’s an interesting story of collaborative challenges, breakthroughs and community. Read Christine Fransen’s article here, and come to the Sunday Jan 25 launch party here (in French).
3. Two Cohorts of Authentic Relating in Community Starting February 10
We are starting two English cohorts of Authentic Relating in Community, in both US+Europe and Asia+Australia time zones, on February 10, plus a German ARC starting Jan. 29. There are two open Connection Games on Feb. 3. Register for everything here. Sophie has now trained with Mihau Banulescu, the creator of Connection Games, and is very happy! Read more about that at Mihai’s site, and contact him directly if you want to join any of the currently active training cohorts.
While we are not advertising the ARC as a leadership training program (it takes more than 8 weeks to accomplish that), the ARC program is now a proven format, delivering consistent transformation. So if you want to attend in order to deepen your AR practice and then replicate it in your community (and maybe make a little money), we welcome that.
My New Memoir: Broke, Single, Crazy and Old: The Redemption of a Sex and Love Addict
My new memoir is out! This is the story, in all its beauty and wreckage, of my lifelong pursuit of redemption through deep sexual loving. And of the women who helped me (some would say “enabled me”). Two of them in particular, Ellen and Sasha, whose beautiful letters are included here, bringing their own voices, talents, and hard-won insight into the story.
20 years in the writing, this book is more my legacy than any other. It is about what happens when you pursue your daemon into the darker places, leaving, as I did, a trail of relational destruction behind you. Astonishingly, this strategy worked. I am now very happily married.
