1. Crowd-Funding the new Circling Guide & AR Anthology: Why Your Support Matters
The Circling Guide & Authentic Relating Anthology (3rd Edition) is being written as the canonical, practical reference for Circling and Authentic Relating practitioners, facilitators, and communities worldwide.
Circling and AR have grown rapidly — trainings, communities, facilitators, and sub‑schools now span the globe. Yet one core problem remains unresolved:
the movement lacks a clear, shared, modern reference point.
Circling and Authentic Relating are very powerful. You know this is true. If you are like most of us, however, you have struggled to explain it to your friends or clients. It’s also unfortunate that the movement has not achieved the global visibility that it deserves.
This project exists to solve that.

What’s new in the 3rd Edition: A coherent, practitioner‑level anthology of modern AR
This edition is designed to be the most accessible and comprehensive entry point into Circling and the wider Authentic Relating ecosystem. It includes:
-
Part I — Circling Bootcamp (updated):
A tight, ~30,000‑word, read‑in‑one‑sitting manual so anyone can walk into a circle anywhere in the world, understand what’s happening, and participate meaningfully. -
Part II — Authentic Relating (lineage + what works):
Chapters from founders and senior leaders of the AR and Circling movement, sharing what has actually proven effective in practice — including pitfalls and evolutions. -
Part III — Applied We‑Space:
New AR‑derived practices applied to business, community, governance, dating & sexuality, addiction recovery, family, social justice, spirituality, and everyday life.
The aim is a resource that both newcomers and experienced facilitators can reliably use.
Confirmed contributors (so far)
Sara Ness (Authentic Relating Games); Robert MacNaughton (AR in Business); Jason Digges (Integral Circling); Susan Campbell (Origins of AR); Damien Bohler (Embodied Sexuality); Kaela Atleework (Co-Living); Mihai Banulescu (Connection Games); Ryel Kestano (Authentic Dating); Stephane Segatori (We-Flow); Karl Steyaert (IFS); Ellen Waenink (Deep Listening); Michael Porcelli (Meta-Relating); Miki Kashtan (Liberation For All). Others have been contacted (Sean & John, Guy Sengstock etc) and still waiting to hear back.
Why now?
The work is already underway: Part I is drafted. Contributors are confirmed and being assembled. What remains is a substantial coordination and integration effort.
This fundraiser supports three focused months of research, outreach, and editing at a deliberately modest rate ($1,000/month). If successful, the next step will be pursuing a commercial publisher to help distribute and market the book globally.

Stretch goal: the We‑Space Federation
Any funds raised beyond the $3,000 target will go toward forming a We‑Space Federation — a membership‑based association for the AR and Circling ecosystem, intended to:
-
support PR and media outreach for the movement as a whole,
-
list and cross‑promote member organizations’ services and offerings,
-
facilitate networking and collaboration among practitioners,
-
and potentially include aligned sister networks, including NVC.
Closing
If Circling or Authentic Relating has impacted your life, facilitation, or community work, this is a tangible way to give back.
You’re not just supporting a book — you’re helping create a shared reference point the entire movement can stand on.

2. Podcast with Jonathan Clark of The Container
Jonathan Clark from The Container Podcast was kind enough to interview me. We had a lively talk about Circling and Authentic Relating, including where it’s been and the larger potential — a potential that even many people in the community don’t fully understand. You can listen on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple
3. More Connection Games over the next two weeks!
I am a huge fan of Mihai Banulescu’s Connection Games. But now it’s even better! As Mihai is launching a facilitator training program which my wife Sophie and others have joined, there is a full slate of events happening in the next two weeks. Click here for details.
Note: This happened very quickly, so if you don’t see any events listed there yet, come back in a few days.
4. My Article on We-Flow
I am actually (gulp) registered for the first weekend of We-Flow Stewardship course, happening in Amsterdam at the end of the month. This is a really big commitment, but the results of the first two We-Flow immersions that I attended were so extraordinary, and the overall acceleration in my life’s work, relationships and impact has been so extreme, that this was kind of a no-brainer. I write about this transformation in the articles We-Flow, Part 2: Moving Towards Effortless Manifestation and the follow-up, We-Flow, Part 3: What is the Stewardship Program?
What Stephane and his team are doing is simply mind-blowing, and a unique contribution to the AR movement. Check out the articles and if you like, please subscribe to the substack.
