What’s happening in the community?
- Sophie and I start our 5th cohort Authentic Relating in Community (ARC) on Tuesday Sept 2. , with a free introduction on Tuesday Aug. 26. The program is a mix of AR and Circling and is suitable for beginners (please tell your AR-interested friends!). Early-bird pricing of $300 until August. 12.
- Kedar Shashidhar and Morgan Klein launch The Relational Accelerator, a 3-month leadership training for $1000. I love the multi-disciplinary approach (AR, Somatics, NLP…) and all the work that has gone into it. We need more initiatives like this!
- Authentic Revolution is on a roll. Mastering Facilitation Skills (Sept 4): Develop the skills you need to start or grow your own practice. The Art of Difficult Conversations (Sept 23): Gain the skills needed to turn conflict into connection. Designing for Connection (Oct. 8): Learn to turn good events into unforgettable ones with the principles of connective experience design. - The Container Podcast is maintaining an aggressive production schedule, with now-weekly interviews of AR luminaries including Sean Wilkinson (May 26), Leif Hansen (April 28), Ryel Kestano (April 14), Susan Campbell (March 31), Jason Digges (March 17) and Jordan Myska Allen (several dates)
- Sara Ness continue prolific writing on the Authentic Revolutionary Substack, including the very insightful The Path to (Mostly) Effortless Connection. (for anyone who has felt awkward and out of place at a party), and Community-Killers (about Intentional Community).
- I have two new landmark articles on my substack, including Couples in the trenches: Navigating the deep sexual we-space (relating to sexuality), and Monetizing Authentic Relating: The Courage to Lead and my Entrepreneurial Awakening I say more about this below.
Bringing Authentic Relating into Business
The advent of AI has re-written my entrepreneurial life. Two things specifically:
- Using ChatGPT as a high-level, on-call business coach, research assistant, and strategist.
- Leveraging AI-assisted marketing automation, on Linkedin specifically.
The implications are profound for all business — including the business of social change.
I’ve also realized that creating AR programs is only one way forward — and not, for me, the most impactful. The deeper impact comes from weaving AR into all my relationships. Practically speaking, I’m finding I am more valuable as a networker than as a leader of AR workshops. That lesson, as told in the article Monetizing Authentic Relating, has completely upended my path.
