What’s happening in the community
- Sophie and I are starting a new cohort of Practical Relational Leadership in Community (PRLC) on Tuesday October 22, Noon Eastern. There is also a Free intro tomorrow, Tuesday October 15. If are you ready to take your AR leadership to the next level, form private groups and/or expand your circle of influence and care, check it out.
- Dakota Quackenbush and Authentic Bay Area are offering Authentic Speed Friendships on 3rd Thursdays, AR Games on 1st Thursdays, and Women’s Truth Club on Mondays at 4:30pm PST. All events on sliding-scale donation. Reach out to Dakota at [email protected].
- Authentic Revolution (in partnership with Kaela Atleework and Jason Digges) have started two cohorts of Relating Games Bootcamp. One is sold-out, but the other might still be open. Sara is also busily making videos for the next evolution of the classic Authentic Relating Games Manual.
- Peter Will Benjamin’s Avalon Institute are doing a beta version of a new course designed to help part-time coaches become full-time coaches. There are spots left left for this free version, it’s 3 days. Reach out to Peter from the website for more info.
- Ellen Waenink and Circling Europe just started a new cohort of Transformational Connection and Surrendered Leadership. Over the past editions, this journey has transformed lives, opened hearts, and deepened leadership skills, Spaces are limited, the group is capped at 14. - Crystal Byrd Farmer is offering online Authentic Relating games on Thursday
- Peter Scott and The Connection Project’s next round of 5 free online practice sessions starts next week. Timing is Tue, 22 Oct 2024, 19:00 Eastern US, or Wed, 23 Oct 2024, 10:00 Australia/Sydney (AEDT/AEST). I am tracking this project closely as their idea of a peer-led relational intelligence practice community really lights me up and is “an idea whose times has come”.
- Circling Institute continues drop-in online Circling every Thursday night, 6-9pm PT. Come experience the “original” form of Circling (and arguably still the best!), led by the founder of Circling, our very own Guy Sengstock.
- Authentic Relating Go are offering multiple online events, very attractively named Heart Lounge, Presence Playground, Women’s Connection Circle, Fish Bowl: Men and Women’s Sharing Circle, and more. I am loving what I am seeing here and also turned-on by the branding 🙂 I think I will have to visit!
- Michael Porcelli is doing a free webinar How to Relate with Family Without Estranging Yourself on Wednesday Oct. 15, 9pm ET.

Forming an interest group for AR and sexuality
I have always thought that the three highest-impact areas for bringing AR into the world are: Intentional Community, social justice and sexuality. Given the recent cataclysmic event in my life of meeting Sophie, I am forming an interest group for people wanting in exploring the intersection of AR and sexuality, and possibly offering groups or programs in that space.
