What’s happening in the community?
- Jason Digges and I are running some Free AR Games on Thursday May 30, Noon Eastern. Sign-up here. This event is an introduction to our two courses produced by the Global Eco-Village Network (GEN) entitled Authentic Relating in community (ARC) (led by Jason) and Practical Relational Leadership in Community (or PRLC) led by me. Getting GEN involved in producing and promoting AR events is quite a coup, as I am very passionate about Intentional Communities and Eco-villages and believe that this is a big untapped market for AR.
- I am also running the June session of Practical Relational Leadership through Authentic Relating starting Monday June 3, 11am Eastern 4 sessions. Cost of this is $100 and registration info is here.
- Dr. Hazel Grace is doing an 8-week course The Art of REPAIR July 2 – Aug 20 on Tuesday evenings.
Mistakes, tough emotions, challenging conversations and misunderstandings are part of every meaningful relationship. That is why Dr. Hazel-Grace created the 6 step REPAIR Process. This gives you a step by step method to navigate conflict in a way that creates MORE trust and connection than before the rupture happened. - Circling Institute is holding a Sovereign Workshop June 1 & 2 and Explorer Workshop July 20 & 21. Guy is also attending Evolve Move Play June 7-9 in San Rafael CA. Regular Thursday night online drop-in Circling continues as well as live events in Berkeley.
- SeekHealing is accepting applications for the Fall 2024 cohort of Social Health Facilitation Training (SHFT). There will be an intro session to this powerful training on June 6.
Seek Healing has been very successful in bringing AR into the field of addiction recovery. “We are the medicine” they say (mm… I could not say it any better myself!) - Jordan Allen from Relateful Company report a very powerful email of his experience at Relateful Camp at Camp Olympia, TX in late April. In other news, I finally rejoined the Level Up program, the greatest-value high-level Circling training in the world (IMHO). Yay! - Authentic Revolution is running another cohort of The Art of Difficult Conversations from 11 June to 23 July, 2024. Plus a new weekend program Authentic Community Leadership Training from from 28-30 Jun at the Salisbury Centre, Salisbury Road, Edinburgh, UK. Yay for doing AR in community! The world needs this.
- Circling Europe continues to amaze me with their impressive line-up. It includes Circling weekend immersions in Amsterdam – 1-2 June, Vilnius – 15-16 June, Oslo – 5-6 October, Helsinki – 19-20 October, and Copenhagen – 23-24 November.

Daniel Ek (and collaborators) new book “The Power of Friendship”!
What makes some friendships last while others fade away? How can we deepen our connection with an acquaintance or someone we have known for years? How can we manage conflicts so that our friendships are not weakened but rather strengthened by them? When can and should we break up with a friend? All of these and more questions are answered and illuminated.
Daniel Ek is a lecturer, author and psychologist who co-founded The Friendship Lab, (in Swedish) in 2019 in Sweden. He has trained with Circling Europe and The Connection Institute and ART-International. The Friendship Lab provides courses in Authentic Relating, Circling, attachment trauma (with the NARM- and Somatic Experiencing angle) and Emotional Attunement.
Together with his two friends who are also relationship nerds, Frida (psychologist) and Pär (Ph.D in cognitive neuroscience) he co-wrote The Power of Friendship to provide people with the research, skills and games to deepen relationships and especially friendships. Daniel and colleagues have also crafted a new Authentic Relating card game that will be released in a few weeks in Sweden.

Authentic Singles is a proposed worker-owned collective of Authentic Relating leaders and sexual educators operating in the field of authentic friendship, dating and sexuality. We provide web and marketing infrastructure, proven business models and training in these models.
